Year and Designer: Current Logo, 1971 by Raymond Loewy
About: The Shell logo in its current iteration is a perfected and timeless design of form and function. The Shell icon has been around for more than a century but during that time the icon went through many modifications and tweaks until it was perfected by Raymond Loewy in 1971. Since then the logo hasn’t changed since.

If you haven’t been living under a rock these past few days then you would would know that the Winter Olympics are in progress. Every two years we have the chance to catch athletes from all across the world compete in the summer or winter games; but what unites them under one banner are the Olympic Rings.

Following up on the previous post Comcast to xfinity rebrand, I figured this week’s logo spotlight would be focused on another major rebranding; Stop&Shop.
Keeping with the football theme this week, Here are the logos used for the Super Bowl all the way from season 1966 until season 2009. Notice how the only thing really constant within the logos is the use of roman numerals. Some are designs are inspired from the city that hosted the Super Bowl that year such season 1995 in which New Orleans hosted and season 1996 in which Arizona hosted.
